I have seen many of these closets with dirty water in the bucket and the dust mop laying in a puddle of water.  One step closer to Green would be to install a sludge tank between the slop sink drain and main sewer line.  Sludge, heavy metals and other particles sink to the bottom of the tank before going out to the sewer system.  The sludge tank is then emptied at a certified dry bed.

Very good point.  Also, the mop bucket still filled from last night is an OSHA violation - it's not sporting a proper factory label, and it's there after the end of the shift of the guy who mixed it.
