I am bidding on a  one time job involving about 150,000 sq ft of floor.  They want it machine scrubbed. Im also bidding on cleaning some carpet, stripping tile floor and deep cleaning 16 restrooms.

Im mainly concered about the 150,000 sq. ft of floor.  Should I charge a per sq. ft price for this and if so how much?  Im using a machine that covers about 30,000 sq ft per hour.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd

Are you apply wax and sealer to the floor you are scrubbing?

If not, charge the same rate as carpet cleaning.  6-10 cents per sqaure feet.  If so, charge between 15-20 cents.  Make sure the building humidity is low so this will help in overall quality.

thanks

Just out of curiosity, can I ask what method of carpet cleaning you are using when you charge less then ten cents a square foot? I definetly concur on the humidity warning, I have started leaving a commercial dehumidifier behind when I clean large jobs in bad weather.

We charge less than 10 cents per sq foot on the encapsulation method.

Thanks
