I am updating my pricing for strip and wax service for the new year, here locally in southwest Florida I am seeing prices from .20/ft to .50/ft. What are some of the prices being charged in other regions of the country? My standard application is 1 coat sealer; 4 coats finish, price based on amount of stripping required and total square footage.
dryguy: The produts I perferr to use are Betco. I use their Cleaner/Restorer for buffing. I use 98% Betco products.
I was charging around $.25 sqft but may up it to $.30 sqft.
I am actually starting my business again after 3 years off. I prefer Betco products over others and hope to use them again if I can find a local vendor.
The industry standard is .35-.45 cents a sqft. However others are right if you can get more than do it! Here is Georgia it is cut throat and people charge less just to get the job. We give 4 coats of wax (no sealer) but here"s the clincher, after you strip the floor and it drys, buff the floor with a white pad! Doing so seals the pores and gives you an ultra bright shine.
BOY! I heard that "cut throats" I had one company came in @ .04 s.f. just to get the job. Still have not figured how they even paid for product at that price.
In Chicago and suburbs we charge from 0.25 to 0.45 depending on the volume of work.
